The Science and Technology Honors Program’s academic portion concentrates UAB’s strengths in science and technology research. Special interdisciplinary courses cover topics from many perspectives at once, allowing you to learn to approach research questions by integrating knowledge from multiple fields of study.

Exclusive seminars put you face-to-face with UAB's renowned researchers, who will share their insights and experiences from the lab and field.  Recently students have met with an Antarctic undersea explorer, a genetics pioneer, and experts in neuroscience and biomedical engineering.

The entire curriculum is designed to encourage independent thinking, questioning of ideas, and creative problem-solving.  Science and Technology Honors coursework also integrates seamlessly with honors programs in specific majors.
