Seneca Wilson was recently named the director of University Recreation at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He will assume those responsibilities on May 18, 2022.

Wilson received the promotion following the departure of Craig Decker, who now works in the software industry. Decker served as URec's director for over two years and was instrumental in guiding URec through the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Wilson has over 17 years of professional experience in the higher education recreation industry. He has been with URec for five years and served as the associate director of Facilities and Guest Services. He contributed significantly to the department by managing facility operations and guest services within the Recreation Center in his previous role.
