Campus Recreation's Summer Swim School is now open for registration. The classes are available for the entire Birmingham community and will remain open until filled.

 Summer Swim School classes get started May 6 and are based on American Red Cross curriculum designed for participants ranging from 6 months to adult. UAB Swim School will teach proper technique while providing an easy transition to lifelong swimming. Participants new to the program will begin with an assessment of basic skills to determine their comfort and current swimming abilities and then be placed into an appropriate level group.

The prices for swim school are $40 for Campus Rec members and $50 for non-members. Each session of group lessons consists of five 30–40 minute classes. For more information on swim school or how to register, email aquatics@uab.edu.
