On Wednesday, May 10, the UAB Student Affairs’ professional development committee hosted its annual One-Day Conference. The theme of the event was “Promoting a Culture of Well-Being: Pathways Forward.” The One-Day Conference focuses on building community among staff and provide professional development opportunities.
More than 120 Blazers attended the free event that was open to all Student Affairs professionals and students. UAB staff presented their work and best practices in the profession. UAB’s Dean of the School of Public Health Paul Erwin, MD, DrPH gave the keynote address on UAB’s role as a Health Promoting University.
