Feed your belly (and your brain) during Food Truck Festival

UAB students line up at the MELT Birmingham food truck parked outside the HUC.One of the most important study tips you hear repeated often is to remember to eat. Avoiding hunger will help you focus on your finals instead of your stomach.

Keeping your belly happy during finals is as good an excuse as any to head out to the UAB Food Truck Festival on Wednesday, May 8 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Food trucks including Spoonfed Grill, Fresh Off the Bun, MELT, Cantina on Wheels, Off the Hook, Greg's Hot Dogs, and Repicci's Italilan Ice will be at the UAB Women's & Infants Center Park of Hope serving lunch along with live music.

Menus for most of the trucks can be found at the UAB Windows into Wellness blog.

The event is part of Nurses Week celebrating the health and well-being of UAB nurses and is accompanied by a week-long blood drive. You can make a reservation to donate blood between May 6-11 in the North Pavilion lobby. Sign up through the Red Cross using sponsor code: UABNP

If you're too bogged down by finals to make it to the Food Truck Festival, don't despair -- it will return Thursday, May 16 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Same-Day Surgery parking lot of UAB Highlands.
