HUC gets a Facelift

The Hill University Center is our beloved student facility, home to all resources students seek...including Chick-fil-A. Some upcoming changes to the building will modernize the space and make it more student-friendly.

The Hill University Center is our beloved student facility, home to all resources students seek...including Chick-fil-A. Some upcoming changes to the building will modernize the space and make it more student-friendly.

Beginning Labor Day weekend, the entrance to Jazzman’s and Freshens area will shift from the side to the front where the storefront glass will be removed to make it more accessible to those passing by. But that's not all that is changing.

Here's some of new things you can expect to see in the near future:

  • A one-stop shop (to be named the “Blazer Enrollment Center”) for students to address in one place a variety of questions and concerns regarding class schedules, student accounts, financial aid, etc.
  • A more welcoming lobby area in the HUC for many of our institutionally significant events. The information desk will appear more open and welcoming to our students and campus visitors. The seating areas in the lobby will be furnished with more soft seating to invite people to relax and spend some time with us enjoying the amenities and services that the facility has to offer.
  • Beautifying the entries to these facilities.

So please excuse any inconvenience the progress may cause you, and look forward to a more attractive and functional student center.
