Hometown: St. Johns, Florida
Alma Mater: Nova Southeastern University - Undergraduate, UAB - Graduate
Something you might not know about me:
I am addicted to television...seriously! I would seek professional help to kick this bad habit, but there is something on television I need to watch.
Favorite spot on campus:
The campus green. This is the hub of activity on campus and there is always people to talk with and things to do.
One thing I always mention to prospective students:
Visit UAB. It is almost impossible to understand how wonderfully unique this university is without touring the campus.
Favorite book in Sterne Library:
Harper Lee’s "To Kill A Mockingbird." This is the book that lead to a lifetime love of reading. I recently read "Calling Me Home" by Julie Kibler and I highly recommend it to everyone. This book affected me in many of the same ways as "To Kill A Mockingbird."
Campus activity I’m working up the nerve to try:
Climbing the rock wall in the rec center. I have always wanted to try it but haven’t worked up the courage yet. The lazy river is more my speed.
Favorite thing about Birmingham:
As a Florida native, I grew up with a flat, coastal landscape without "seasons". Birmingham offers so much more - mountains, waterfalls, and four seasons. Birmingham is a vibrant community and there is always something going on, either on campus or within the city.
