Something you might not know about me:
I am secretly a roller-coaster enthusiast.  I’m always up for the next big roller-coaster challenge.  Any suggestions?

One thing I always mention to prospective students:

I always encourage prospective students to consider their potential academic major choices carefully.  As a former academic advisor, I encountered numerous students who chose their majors based solely on pressure from their families and/or friends.  I believe that it is important for students to select majors that they have thoroughly researched and deem beneficial to their academic and career goals.

Best place on campus to hide out:

My colleagues are correct.  The UAB Mini-Park is a great place to get away.  The park is tucked away on the corner of two busy streets, but is surprisingly serene.

Favorite spot on campus:

This is a tough question.  My favorite spot would probably be the University Boulevard walkway overpass.  It reminds me of being a kid riding in the car around UAB’s campus.  I knew I was on campus once I saw, what I called, the “big white bridge with UAB written on it.”
