What did you wish you had known when you were starting college?
Looking back, I wish I had been aware of concurrent enrollment. There are so many unique and fascinating classes available at UAB! Earning college credit for my core classes while in high school would have freed up my time to take more electives that captivated my interest.

You know you’re at UAB when…
... you see construction cranes. We're continually growing and improving in every aspect, including facilities

What are some of your favorite things to do around Birmingham?
My job is actually my favorite thing to do. I am so fortunate to have a position in which I am paid to pursue my passions for learning and supporting students!  Moreover, I frequently enjoy experiencing world-class performances at the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center and the BJCC; zipping over to the Botanical Gardens for a picnic with my husband during our lunch break; exercising in many of the beautiful parks near UAB; and teaching piano for Scrollworks, a Birmingham area, non-profit organization.
