One of the original plays that premiered at UAB is now playing in New York City, with Department alum Dustin Cañez as Assistant Director!  The show is Lee Shackleford's adaptation of Karel Čapek's 1920 Czech play R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots)...

The off-Broadway production of R.U.R. opened January 9th at the Beckett Theatre on 42nd Street, produced by the Resonance Ensemble.  The run continues through February 2nd.  Read more about this adaptation of R.U.R. on Lee's website here...
