Our Mission
As part of the Cardiothoracic Transplantation Group headed by Dr.
James K. Kirklin, our ultimate goal is to improve the effectiveness of cardiac
transplantation as a treatment for end-stage heart failure. Our main areas of
investigation are the molecular mechanisms of bone marrow induced tolerance and allograft
rejection.
