Chemical Ecology of Antarctic Marine Organisms

Welcome. This page lets you jump off to several different sites:

S-022 Home Page: is a more technical description of the McClintock/Baker/Amsler chemical ecology project and includes publication lists.

Archived partial versions of our award-winning UAB in Antarctica web program:

Our 2000, 2001, 2004, 2007, and 2010 UAB in Antarctica educational outreach web sites were made in a server-format that is no longer supported at UAB. We were able to preserve much of the content but not all of the graphics. For the latter two sites, only the blog content is available. However, screen-capture images of example pages from the 2010 site are available HERE. The 2007 site was identical in format. A new and fully functional UAB in Antarctica site will be live during our February through May 2013 field season.

The 2004 site received the 2005 Award of Excellence for Overall Website Design and Implementation from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), District III. The 2007 site received a national-level 2008 silver medal in the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards Program under the category of Creative Use of Technology and New Media.

UAB in Antarctica 2010 which was our most recent web journal site with information and pictures from Palmer Station Antarctica. The site was live from February through late May 2010. The only things available on the archive site are the contents of the blogs. Click on individual posts on the list at the bottom or right side of the page to see them. The links to the accompanying photos on Flickr do not work but over 500 photos from our 2007 and 2010 sites are available at our UAB in Antarctica Flickr photo pool. Screen-capture images of example pages from the site are available HERE.

PLUS: See our YouTube channel with videos posted during our 2010 field season.

The links to the accompanying photos on Flickr do not work but over 500 photos from our 2007 and 2010 sites are available at our UAB in Antarctica Flickr photo pool. The site was formatted just like the 2010 site.
