The 31st Annual Southeastern Phycological Colloquy will be held October 16-17, 2009, at Valdosta State University, in Valdosta, Georgia. The meeting will be hosted by Dr. Jim Nienow.

The SEPC is an informal meeting to share research activities and ideas among those of us who study algae (freshwater or marine), seagrasses, or other marine plants. We encourage student participation and student-faculty interaction.

Presentations on all aspects of the biology of algae, seagrasses, and other aquatic plants are welcome.

Contributed paper and poster sessions are planned for the full day of Saturday, October 17, with registration and a welcome mixer on the evening of Friday, October 16.

A call for papers and other details will come out during the second half of August, but please hold the date!
