I am currently working with Dr. Andrew Brown and other researchers in the School of Public Health’s Office of Energetics on a project involving the evaluation of randomized controlled trials pertaining to nutrition using Amazon Mechanical Turk. In addition, I am working with Dr. Maria DeLuca in the Department of Nutrition Sciences on a number of projects utilizing D. melanogaster as a genetic model for human health.
Fun Facts: Coffee and donuts are my ultimate weaknesses, and I’m a total beach bum at heart
Advice: Explore as many of your interests as you can. Try out different types of research to pinpoint what kind of research you really like doing. Once you find your niche, dedicate yourself and work hard. Also, make and maintain connections. This will help you endlessly as you continue on in academia and/or research.
