Freda Lewis
I started as a temp in 1986. And then I became a full time employee on March the 27th of 1988.
—Freda Lewis has been at UAB for 31 years. She started as a temp employee in 1986 and became a full-time employee two years later. She began in the Division of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology as a senior secretary working in Jefferson Tower. Freda talks about working for Dr. Albert F. LoBuglio, former director of the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center, and his no-nonsense style of work. She currently works in the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center as a clinical trials administrator.
