Philip Musa

Some of my best memories include cheering on the basketball and football teams, not only here in Birmingham but traveling with the teams.

—Philip Musa, Ph.D., originally from Borno State, Nigeria, completed a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology at UAB in 2011. Today he is a professor in the Collat School of Business with secondary appointments in the School of Engineering and the School of Medicine. Musa also works with UAB’s Minority Health and Health Disparities Research Center. He serves as the Faculty Senate's chair of policies and procedures, represents the Faculty Senate and the Collat School of Business on UAB's advisory council for the Center for Teaching and Learning, and is a member of UAB's Maximization of Utilization of Space Team.
