UAB for the second time gave me an option and saved my life.That's when it hit, I knew I had to come here.
—Tandy Petrov currently works in the Dupuy Alternative School as a general science teacher for 7th to 12th grade. She went to UAB for her bachelor's degree in 2011 and a master degree in 2014. She is currently pursuing an alternative master's degree in education and a Ph.D. in science education in the inner city environment at UAB.
