Congratulations to Bethany Reeves on her promotion to Director of Development for Medical Education.
In this role, she will continue to advance key initiatives in the Department of Medical Education and strengthen philanthropic support for the UAB Heersink School of Medicine.

Bethany has been a valued member of the Heersink School of Medicine Development team since 2019, most recently serving as assistant director of development. In this role, Bethany managed a portfolio of approximately 150 prospects, supporting fundraising efforts across Medical Education, the Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Family and Community Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has consistently exceeded fundraising metrics, raising more than $1.1 million in the past metric year while surpassing key engagement and visit goals. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Bethany is actively involved in the philanthropic community and currently serves as President-Elect of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Alabama Chapter.
