Congratulations to Emily Bridges, who has been promoted to Assistant Director of Donor Relations!
In this position, Emily will take on more responsibility for UAB Advancement’s stewardship program.
After joining UAB as Stewardship Manager in the summer of 2024, Emily worked with Advancement leadership to create a process to identify and provide comprehensive annual impact reports for roughly 55 top-level donors. Donor feedback from this new process and updated impact report format has been very positive.
Emily’s new position will build on this strong foundation, expanding the number of impact reports she oversees and working more closely with Advancement Services and the school development teams to streamline processes. Emily will continue to focus on top-level and major gift donors, working with development officers to create dynamic and comprehensive reports.
“This is a great move for both Emily and UAB Advancement,” Executive Director of Advancement Impact and Engagement Katie McDowell said. “Emily’s experience in engagement, events, and frontline fundraising for nonprofits makes her a valuable asset to our Donor Relations team, and she has done a fantastic job building out our top-level donor stewardship program. I’m excited to see her expand this approach to more donors.”
Emily will oversee additional aspects of the Donor Relations program over time, including endowment stewardship and the expansion of other stewardship touchpoints, such as first-time donor journeys.
Prior to joining UAB Advancement, Emily served in several development roles, including as Director of Development at Preschool Partners and a nine-year stint with Children’s of Alabama.
