UAB Advancement welcomes Georgia Coles as the Development Coordinator for School of Engineering.
In this role, she will support fundraising efforts, in coordination with SOE Director of Development Michael Wilson, through connecting with new prospects, strengthening donor relations and corporate partnerships, and assisting with stewardship.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Georgia holds a bachelor's degree in creative media and a master's degree in communication studies from The University of Alabama. While at UA, she worked at Alabama Public Radio, where she assisted with daily classical music programming as well as periodic on-air fundraisers. Most recently, she worked for Warby Parker for three years, helping to run an optometrist's practice and coordinating community outreach and volunteer events.
When she’s not at work, Georgia enjoys birdwatching, going to see live jazz, and playing Irish music on the flute.
Welcome, Georgia!
