UAB Advancement is excited to welcome Olivia Martinez as the Assistant Director of Development for Medical Education.
In this role, Olivia will support fundraising efforts across Medical Education by working closely with faculty, leadership, and development colleagues to cultivate philanthropic support for key medical education initiatives while helping identify, engage, and steward donors in support of the Heersink School of Medicine mission.
She previously served as Annual Fund Director for the all-girl Hutchison School in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, she partnered closely with institutional leadership to develop fundraising initiatives, strengthen donor engagement, and implement stewardship and communication strategies that enhanced philanthropic support across the organization.
Olivia and her husband, Adam, recently moved to Birmingham with their six-month old daughter for Adam to begin a residency in urology here at UAB.
In her free time, Olivia enjoys traveling, taking her dogs to the dog park, needlepoint, and learning mahjong.
