Scott Goggins recently announced his retirement as Senior Marketing Manager with the UAB St. Vincent's Foundation.
He has served with the foundation for more than 22 years and has seen the foundation through many transitions and rebranding initiatives.
Scott faithfully guided community relations and marketing activities during times of rapid growth, particularly when St. Vincent's merged with Eastern Health System and the following facilities were built between 2004 and 2009: the North Tower, the South Tower, and the Orthopedic Sports Center at what is now the UAB St. Vincent's Campus in Birmingham. The facility located at 7191 Cahaba Valley Road, known as One Nineteen, was also built during this season of expansion.
Scott was the recipient of the St. Vincent's Mission Values Award for Dedication in 2007, and his most memorable accomplishments include managing the organization's Heritage Gala, which celebrated 115 years of community service and honored the Daughters of Charity who founded St. Vincent's in 1898.
From stewarding the opening of the Bruno Cancer Center and the creation of the donor wall honoring donors to currently ensuring that all donor walls within the newly branded UAB St. Vincent's family of hospitals are updated, Scott has left a lasting and indelible mark on UAB St. Vincent's. He will be missed by all, but mostly by his UAB St. Vincent's Foundation team and family. We want him to know that we will miss him, that we appreciate him, and that we hope the future brings much happiness and great adventure!
