Stephen started as the Senior Director of Development II in the School of Dentistry on Oct. 6. In this role, he will lead fundraising strategy and alumni engagement, including the Dental Alumni Association and its executive council. Stephen is a graduate of The University of Alabama and holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Sciences. However, his family does have ties to UAB. His father is a graduate of the UAB School of Dentistry and practiced in Tuscaloosa for many years.

Prior to coming to UAB, Stephen worked for his alma mater for 10 years, most recently as an Associate Senior Director of Development for the College of Education.

Stephen and his wife of 25 years live in Tuscaloosa with their two daughters. He enjoys spending time boating, watching sunsets with his family, and anything related to sports.
