UAB Advancement welcomes Summer Hunt to the UAB Medicine/Heersink School of Medicine Advancement team as editorial manager.
In this role, Summer will coordinate and produce key communications, including proposals, impact reports and other materials that advance philanthropic relationships.
She holds a Master of Science in Communications-Media Management from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and an Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS) certification. In her nearly 20 years of experience in publishing and communications, she has held editorial leadership positions with the Healthcare Industry Distributors Association and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric & Neonatal Nurses. In her most recent position as editor at Conexiant, she led end-to-end editorial production, while collaborating closely with authors, clients and teams.
When not at work, Summer enjoys reading, writing, listening to music and exploring the Birmingham food and beverage scene. She has two cats, Brenda and Peach.
