    Description:

    To develop and implement strategies to ensure the success of a regional giving program with alumni, parents/family, and friends with an emphasis on alumni engagement and mid-level giving as an integral component of the University’s overall institutional advancement program.

    Data Processing Specialist I (Alumni Affairs)

     

    Description:

    Under minimal supervision, uses a variety of software packages to provide advanced word processing and desktop publishing services to a department. Enters data into computer, generates reports and tables from input data, and creates and maintains database files. May handle phone calls from study participants and enter information into database. May handle test administrations for students. May install software packages and train other office personnel in their use. Manages all data with privacy, security, and confidentiality in accordance to FERPA regulations. May provide training on functionality of data system and interprets source documents.

    Patient and Alumni Giving Manager

     

    Description:

    The Patient and Alumni Giving Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the success of a comprehensive mid-level giving program with a special focus on medical alumni and grateful patients. This role has a special emphasis on former resident and fellow giving and engagement and patient philanthropy as an integral component of the UAB School of Medicine’s overall institutional advancement program. This includes strategic outreach efforts to these constituencies through strong personal interaction, direct mail and telephone outreach, and the organization and staffing of events.
