  • Communication Specialist

     

    Description:

    The Communication Specialist is a member of the Office of Donor Relations & Engagement (DR&E) and reports to the Director of Donor Relations and Engagement. This position organizes and coordinates functions and services pertaining to solicitation and stewardship of donors, including providing timely communication about gifts. This position is an integral part of a team of advancement professionals whose responsibilities include the annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, and corporate and foundation relations. This position works closely with the other members of the Advancement Office, other University personnel, and volunteers to translate the University’s mission and goals into substantial achievements in fundraising and general advancement.

    Development Director, O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center

     

    Description:

    The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a seasoned development professional to provide major gift leadership and support to implement an ambulatory cancer building campaign at UAB. In addition this person will help develop a grateful patient program to focus on cancer service line priorities of the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center and in support of the new cancer building. The Director of Development will provide critical input to the strategy, direction, coordination and management of major gifts and stewardship.

    The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a seasoned development professional to lead fundraising in the UAB School of Public Health. The Director of Development will provide strategy, direction, coordination and management of major gifts, annual giving, and stewardship. The Director of Development will work closely with the Dean to develop fundraising priorities, create and implement a strategic plan, and secure major gifts by identifying, cultivating and soliciting individuals, corporations and foundations for major gifts.

    The Director of Development must be able to function as an integral part of a team of development professionals in designing and implementing successful fund raising programs that include annual giving, planned giving, and major gifts to maximize philanthropic support for the School of Public Health.

    Membership MGR-ASC

     

    Description:

    The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an experienced development professional to lead our membership efforts focused on individuals in the Visual and Performing Arts. The qualified candidate will establish priorities and plans for the membership program, annual giving campaign and special events including any performance metrics for the Alys Stephens Center for the Performing Arts (ASC) and the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts (AEIVA). The Membership Manager will develop potential new memberships by initiating new member acquisition strategies and upgrade campaigns. In addition, the incumbent will manage communication of member benefits and encourage members to take advantage of these benefits.

    The Membership Manager must be able to function as an integral part of a team of development and creative and marketing professionals in designing and implementing successful membership programs and special events to maximize philanthropic support for the ASC and the AEIVA.
