""The Bachelor of Science in Cancer Biology is the only program of its kind in the U.S. to specifically train students in this field. The broad-based nature of the program is a distinct strength. Students will be exposed to multiple disciplines within biomedical science such as:

  • cell and molecular biology
  • pathology
  • microbiology
  • pharmacology
  • medicinal chemistry
  • immunology

We anticipate developing future courses encompassing public health and the epidemiological (and even sociological) aspects of cancer.

Undergraduate Catalog

A complete list of program requirements, courses, and a proposed four-year program of student for Cancer Biology majors are available in the UAB Undergraduate Catalog.
