Job Description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Department of Justice Sciences, seeks to fill a part-time adjunct faculty positions for the Forensic Science program. The adjunct faculty would be responsible for teaching FS 671: Conventional Criminalistics (Fall 2016) and FS 672: Advanced Criminalistics (Spring 2017). FS 671 is currently scheduled for 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. on Monday evenings, starting August 29, 2016.

Applicants should have at least five years of experience in criminalistics or forensic science. Master's degree is very desirable. Previous teaching experience at the college level is preferred.

The selection of topics to cover in the courses is flexible. Traditionally, bias is addressed in FS 671. A moot court exercise is also desirable. Please feel free to contact Dr. Elizabeth Gardner for copies of syllabi for FS 671 and 672 from previous semesters.
