Beverly R. Williams

Beverly R. Williams (PhD 2002) is an Associate Professor in the Division of Gerontology, Geriatrics and Palliative Care in the UAB Heersink School of Medicine.

She is also Birmingham/Atlanta Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center (GRECC) Investigator at the Birmingham VA Medical Center.

Dr. Williams currently works as a co-investigator and qualitative researcher on a VA Health Services Research and Development Merit Award evaluating the implementation of a comfort care educational intervention for end-of-life care in VA Medical Centers. She also serves as a co-investigator on an NIH research consortium, exploring experiences of bladder health among women and girls across the life course with the goal of developing interventions for the prevention of lower urinary health symptoms. She also is involved an ongoing collaboration with colleagues at the University of Maryland on the impact of religion and spirituality on minority health and aging.
