It’s time for spring cleaning — and the UAB Commission on the Status of Women’s Suits for Success clothing drive is a great place to donate the gently used work-appropriate attire you find in your closet.
When
The annual CSW Suits for Success will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, and Friday, March 31, with donations supporting My Sister’s Closet, an outreach program of the YWCA of Central Alabama that provides professional clothing to women in need each year. For the second year, CSW Suits for Success will also support on-campus Collat Closet and Blazer Closet, which provide professional attire for students.
What
Donation items include gently used, clean women’s suits, jackets, skirts, casual pants, shirts, formal and casual dresses, and accessories such as shoes, handbags and jewelry.
Where
Donations can be dropped off at the lower-level entrance of UAB’s Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center from 7 to 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, and Friday, March 31. The address is 1200 10th Ave. South.
