The UAB Graduate School will once again give back to families who truly need support with its fourth annual Ronald McDonald House Collection Drive.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama is an independent, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides a supportive “home-away-from-home” for families and their children who are receiving medical treatment at Children’s of Alabama, UAB or other area hospitals. The House provides guest families will all the comforts of home – plus, a local support network – so they can focus on their children’s healing.
Items can be purchased off our Amazon Wish List and automatically shipped to the Graduate School or you can drop off donations at the Graduate School office (Lister Hill Library G03). The last day to donate is February 4.
We will celebrate the end of our Collection Drive for the Ronald McDonald House at our annual Cookies, Cocoa & Community from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 27, on the ground floor of Lister Hill Library. At the January 27th celebration, we will have a hot cocoa bar, cookies, and some fun games. There will also be representatives from the Ronald McDonald House available to answer questions and provide information about the organization. There might even be a special guest or two. So, order your donations or bring them to Lister Hill Library on the 27th and enjoy some hot cocoa and a cookie as a special thank you.
