UAB IT will be enabling audio conferencing in Teams for all campus faculty and staff in February, which will make it easier for participants to dial in to a Teams meeting without using a mobile app or computer.

Audio conferencing allows attendees to join by dialing in, rather than requiring the Teams app. The dial-in phone number and conferencing ID will be added to the meeting invite automatically when you schedule a Teams meeting. You will also receive an email notice with this same information.

Office 365 will automatically update existing Teams meetings to include the dial-in information when audio conferencing is enabled for a user. This will result in email messages regarding previously scheduled and recurring meetings.
