Women Medicine Science Molly Carnes CalendarThank you to everyone who attended the 2022 Women in Medicine and Science Grand Rounds, hosted in partnership by Heersink School of Medicine Office for Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) and the Department of Medicine. This year's lecture featured Molly Carnes, M.D., M.S., director of the Center for Women’s Health Research in the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Held each year to commemorate Women's History Month and International Women's Day, the session began with a warm welcome from Mona Fouad, M.D., MPH, and speaker introduction from Anupam Agarwal, M.D., Executive Vice Dean at the Heersink School of Medicine.

During his virtual lecture, Dr. Carnes discussed, "Bias is a Habit That Can Be Broken." Dr. Carnes brought to light some of the facts regarding bias in the workplace, and also provided tactical examples for how everyone can break the habit.

After the session, attendees participated in a live Q&A with Dr. Carnes.

For those who were unable to attend, a full recording of the lecture has been made available below.
