Second Look Weekend
Second Look weekend is one of the many ways the School of Medicine Office for Diversity & Inclusion strives to make UAB an inclusive environment for all. An annual event, Minority students who are underrepresented in medicine (URiM) are invited to join their respectivie departments to visit with current UAB residents, faculty, staff.
Generally, the weekend begins with a reception and is followed by on-site visits, diversity grand rounds, and a much-anticipated diversity fair. Now, with COVID-19 guidelines and regulations, second look weekend has gone virtual. Here is what invitees can expect:
