Saturday, June 11, marked National Family Health and Fitness Day. This day encourages families to take care of their health, be active and enjoy time together.
To celebrate, here are some pictures of the UAB Department of Family and Community Medicine faculty and staff spending time with their families, getting outside and getting active.

Ian McKeag, M.D., M.S., assistant professor and director of the Sports and Exercise Medicine Fellowship, with his daughter Finley at a Birmingham Legion FC game. McKeag is one of the physicians providing sideline care for the Legion.
Celebrating together is another part of family health and fitness. Assistant professor Sumayah Abed, M.D., and her family shared photos from her daughters' high school and college graduations.
