UAB Sports and Exercise Medicine Communications Internship Application
UAB Sports & Exercise Medicine is now accepting internship applications for an internship supporting UAB Sports & Exercise Medicine during the 2022 World Games and beyond. Applications are due by Friday, May 20.
- Hours: 15-20 per week
- Dates: Summer 2022 with the possibility of extension
- Class credit available
- Paid ($12/hr)
Responsibilities
- Gather and draft content for UAB Sports & Exercise Medicine social media channels
- Attend events to capture photo and video content
- Assist with promotional efforts, including ticket organization and distribution, ordering and handing out promotional items, and helping coordinate sponsored events.
- Assist with graphic design projects for social media
- Assist with communications coverage of The World Games (July 7-17, 2022)
Requirements
- Sophomore, junior or senior studying marketing, communications, public relations or a related field
- Tech-savvy approach and willingness to learn
- Sample portfolio is welcome (can include graphic design, social media or writing samples)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with photography and/or videography is preferred, but not required
