We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic postdoctoral scientist to join an active research group studying monocyte recruitment and macrophage differentiation in chronic inflammation and cardiovascular disease. The postholder will study the properties of pro-resolution macrophages and develop novel transgenic reporter lines to study M2 macrophage differentiation in vivo in atherosclerotic lesions and at sites of inflammation.

In the Greaves Lab we study immunometabolism, macrophage chemotaxis and phagocytosis as well as studying macrophage differentiation in vitro and in vivo. Our aim is to provide a more detailed mechanistic understanding of the role of monocytes and macrophages in inflammation and to identify novel pathways for treating and preventing cardiovascular disease.

This post is ideally suited to a candidate with practical experience of inflammation or immunity who wants to make a significant contribution to the study of macrophage biology.

For any informal enquiries, please contact Professor Greaves by email at david.greaves@path.ox.ac.uk

To apply please attach a CV and cover letter to an email to Dr. Greaves.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 28 July 2017. Interviews will be held at the beginning of September 2017.
