Summer Cancer Research Education Program (SCREP)

Graduate and medical students gain practical skills in hands-on research in our Summer Cancer Research Education Program (SCREP), which is sponsored by the Morehouse School of Medicine/Tuskegee University/O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB Partnership. The SCREP encourages medical and graduate students to choose careers in cancer research in an effort to eliminate the gap in cancer incidence, morbidity, and mortality between minorities and the general population. Participants attend seminars, workshops, and mini-courses and undertake an independent research project guided by a mentor. The training culminates with participants presenting their research at the Cancer Research Symposium in late July.

Note: Program enrollment for 2020 has closed. Please check back in early 2021 for the next round of applications.
