Graduate Training Program

Graduate students gain practical skills in hands-on research in our Summer Cancer Research Education Program (SCREP), which is sponsored by the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Morehouse School of Medicine, and Tuskegee University. The SCREP encourages graduate students to choose careers in cancer research in an effort to eliminate the gap in cancer incidence, morbidity, and mortality between minorities and the general population. Participants attend seminars, workshops, and mini-courses and undertake an independent research project guided by a mentor.
