Last Friday, a bus carrying 26 UAB residents from the Department of Pediatrics was involved in a severe accident following a retreat at Camp McDowell. King, M.D., dean of the UCSF School of Medicine and vice chancellor for medical affairs, will give this year’s Leadership in Academic Medicine Lecture keynote on Friday, Sept. 28 at 8 a.m. in Spain Auditorium. His presentation is titled, “Prepare for Opportunity: A Dean’s Perspective on Leadership.”
UAB has adopted a new tool called Profiles to help faculty with the tracking and reporting of scholarly activities. Additionally, Profiles drives certain data to a public facing website that will showcase UAB faculty in a searchable directory—Scholars@UAB. This companion website is slated to launch on September 14.
