The American Society of Hematology (ASH) held its annual meeting in December 2022 in New Orleans, LA.

During this year’s meeting, Drs. Jeffrey Lebensburger and Julie Kanter (co-Directors, UAB Lifespan Comprehensive Center) were two of the faculty selected to review and present abstracts focused on hemoglobinopathies. To improve access to education of this conference, ASH selects individuals to review all the abstracts on a topic and select the top abstracts for presentation to an international audience. Dr. Lebensburger presented in Sao Paolo Brazil and Dr. Kanter presented in Hanoi Vietnam.
