Jordan D. Perchik, M.D.

Jordan Perchik, M.D., completed his undergraduate degree at Rhodes College and medical education at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, both in Memphis, TN. Perchik completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he served as chief resident. Perchik also completed an Abdominal Imaging and Informatics Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham prior to joining faculty in 2023.

Perchik is the President and Co-Founder of Artificial Intelligence in Radiology Education (AIRE) and has led the Artificial Intelligence Literacy Course since its inception in 2020. Perchik holds positions on multiple Artificial Intelligence and Informatics committees for the Society of Abdominal Radiology, Association of University Radiologists, and Alabama Academy of Radiology.

Perchik is a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and has worked closely with LGBTQ advocacy groups at UAB and in the greater Birmingham community. Perchik was awarded the UAB President’s Diversity Champions award in 2021 for his work in patient advocacy.

His research interests include resident education, artificial intelligence, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in radiology.
