Donquan Chen is Associate Professor in the Division Of Preventive Medicine and Assistant Director of Bioinformatics of the BBSF. With training in molecular biology and additional training in informatics and biostatistics, he functions as a bridge between biologists, bench scientists, epidemiologists, clinicians, and statisticians. Dr. Chen has many years of experience in collaboration with investigators in data mining, interpretation and other tasks related genetic and genomic projects. This includes identifying gene expression profile in both the internal cohorts as well as in the public datasets including those from NIMHD. This also includes outcome correlations with genetic profiles that attribute to health disparities. Dr. Chen’s expertise includes applying bioinformatics technologies and tools in identifying genomic and genetics aberrations and in applying findings in prognosis and outcome predictions.
