Camp CSI: Birmingham is back!

To cultivate interest in science, Camp CSI: Birmingham was created to present high school students with the opportunity to experience the techniques and technology of a real crime scene investigator.

Stream Camp CSITo cultivate interest in science, Camp CSI: Birmingham was created to present high school students with the opportunity to experience the techniques and technology of a real crime scene investigator.The University of Alabama at Birmingham College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Criminal Justice is set to host its annual forensic scientist and crime scene investigation youth summer camp.

From June 12-16, Camp CSI: Birmingham will offer high school students in the 10th through 12th grades a real look behind the profession. Rising sophomores and graduated seniors are included. 

Campers will be allowed the opportunity to learn how to collect, preserve, secure, analyze and present evidence while encountering current-generation equipment and methods used in forensic-based laboratories. For a full list of daily activities, click here.

Registration is limited to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis. The total tuition is $350. A $150 fee is due at the time of registration along with the registration form. The remaining $200 can be paid any time before May 31.

The camp will last from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The camp is located in the UAB Forensic Science Laboratories of University Boulevard Office Building, and campers must be dropped off and picked up each day. Lunch and an afternoon snack are included in the cost of tuition.
