The Deep South Center for Occupational Health & Safety presented the fourth annual Environmental & Occupational Safety & Health Summer Institute June 13-16, 2011, at the UAB School of Public Health. Eight college students from UAB and Auburn University attended and learned about the scientific principles and practices of occupational and environmental safety and health.
During the four-day program, students also worked in tornado-damaged Pleasant Grove, Ala.
