Following the success of their last show, Essix will once again perform his handpicked collection of soulful “songs of the season” and audience favorites with the harmonious Atlanta super-group.

Benson will return to Birmingham for the first time in years, to perform his hits, including “On Broadway,” “Give Me the Night” and “This Masquerade,” as well as his explorations of Nat King Cole’s classic catalog.
A sensory-friendly performance will also be offered earlier in the day, in a supportive environment for an audience of families and friends with children or adults who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder or other sensitivity issues.
A favorite at the Alys Stephens Center, Thile is set for a solo evening of flawless musicianship and mind-blowing musical exploration, from bluegrass to Bach and back again.
The fun kicks off with Japanese dance troupe Enra on Oct. 18, followed by a three-day celebration featuring arts and culture from three countries each day Oct. 19-21. Cantina food truck will be on-site.

The memory play, a masterpiece of Irish dramatic literature set in rural Ireland in 1936, was picked for its five complex and strong female character roles for Theatre UAB students.



This majestic and mesmerizing troupe will perform at only 10 venues in the United States during its 2015 world tour — and Birmingham’s ASC is one. The group was featured on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” in Season 10.
With the Oakwood University Aeolians Choir and pianist Joel Martin, Battle will awe and inspire the audience with favorite spirituals. This is the only performance of this show in 2015.
UAB’s ASC will be led by Anna M. Thompson, who comes to UAB from Notre Dame after a national search.

This year, Homecoming’s featured event is Hoops on the Haasephalt, featuring introductions of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, a 3-point shootout and dunk contest, announcement of the Mr. and Ms. UAB Scholarship Competition winners, and a fireworks show.
This is the duo’s second, back-by-popular-demand appearance at the ASC; performing together, these two master musicians weave duets of staggering virtuosity, creating mind-blowing magic.
The ArtPlay Parlor Series, presented by UAB’s Alys Stephens Center, features Young Concert Artists in the intimate setting of the historic ArtPlay House.
The duo will perform classic hits and songs from their latest album “One Lost Day.”
