The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants to study, teach and conduct research in more than 160 countries. Award selections are made on the basis of academic and professional achievement, as well as service and leadership potential.
Keyanna Stokes in the UAB Pre-Nursing program was selected from among more than 1,500 applicants for the scholarship, sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
UAB, one of 24 colleges and universities selected from across the United States, has been awarded the grant from the U.S. Department of State.
