UAB will offer amnesty for outstanding, unpaid parking citations issued by UAB Parking and Transportation Services in exchange for donations to benefit the UAB Student Advocacy Rights and Conduct Food Pantry.
Any individual with a UAB parking ticket of up to $20 will receive amnesty for it when they present their ticket and a donation to UAB parking officials stationed in the Hill Student Center Amphitheater from 5:30-7:30pm on October 26th. Individuals with unpaid UAB parking tickets greater than $20 who make a donation will receive a $20 discount on their tickets.
Parking citations issued by the UAB or Birmingham police departments are not eligible for amnesty.
To qualify for amnesty, individuals must donate a minimum of five items. The items acceptable for donation must be in good condition, not expired, and can include:
Canned and nonperishable food items
Packages of paper towels or toilet paper
Plates, cups or packages of napkins
Dish washing soap
Packages of paper
Packages of hygiene items
Blazer Express Safety Escort

The UAB Blazer Express Safety Escort provides late-night, on-demand van service for UAB students and employees 9 p.m.-5:30 a.m. every day. Call 205-934-8772 to request a ride on campus.
UAB students and employees must present their UAB ID badge to be transported. Visitors will be allowed to use the service when accompanied by a card-carrying student or employee.
