Sodexo Live’s (BJCC | Protective Stadium | Legacy Arena) District Manager, Scott Timothy, and Sodexo’s “Stop Hunger” Champion, Molly Crouch, announced on June 25, 2026, the start of Sodexo’s “Stop Hunger” campaign, an initiative that generates immediate food aid and long-term solutions to fight world hunger in collaboration with the Stop Hunger Foundation.
“UAB's participation in the Stop Hunger campaign reflects a shared commitment to improving community well-being," said Kiawanna Everett, residential district manager of UAB Campus Dining - Sodexo Campus. “Through this partnership, our team supports initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles while helping address hunger across the Birmingham community.”
Sodexo Live, UAB’s Campus Dining – Sodexo Campus and Live HealthSmart Alabama rendered over 150 gallons of chicken noodle soup to neighboring community organizations to spread across the Birmingham area to those in need.
The “Stop Hunger” campaign took place in Birmingham from June 26, 2026, to July 3, 2026, with the purpose of raising awareness, creating a pathway of access to nutritious food, and serving our local community with a hearty meal. “What made this event so special was the incredible collaboration behind it. By bringing together Sodexo Live!, Sodexo’s UAB Campus Dining, Live HealthSmart Alabama, and local charitable partners…” mentioned Crouch, “Beyond the meals prepared, the event created an opportunity for team members, students, and community partners to unite around a shared purpose: helping others.”
