The University of Alabama at Birmingham hosted its annual Homecoming Week, October 2-8, packed with events and activities for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families to connect in Blazer Pride. “The Blazer Games” was the theme.

Homecoming highlights included the Gurney Derby, one of UAB’s most unique and beloved traditions, the Homecoming Building Decoration Competition, Blazer Showdown, Blaze the Night Block Party & Fight Song Competition, Homecoming Stroll Off, and the annual Homecoming Parade.

The UAB football team ended the week on a high note, beating Middle Tennessee State 41-14 at Protective Stadium on Saturday.
