The UAB Division of Student Affairs will host the ninth annual “Remembering Our Blazers: A Memorial Gathering” on Monday, April 6, 2026, in the Hill Student Center Ballrooms.

The ceremony honors active UAB students, faculty, and staff who passed away during the academic year (from April 1, 2025, through March 15, 2026). The event is open to the entire campus community. It will also be livestreamed on Student Affairs’ YouTube channel, allowing participation by those unable to attend in person.

The event provides a space for reflection, remembrance, and support as the campus community recognizes the lives and contributions of those who were part of UAB. The memorial is one of several ways UAB supports students, faculty, and staff during difficult times, emphasizing community care and connection.

The ceremony will be held at 12 pm in the Hill Student Center ballrooms.
